With
Morgan Pierce

Hi, I’m Morgan Pierce! I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern and the founder of Inner Coast Counseling. My goal as a therapist is for people to see themselves with compassion and clarity.

I created my own practice from a deep belief that every human being is capable of growth and transformation, no matter how stuck, lost, or broken they may feel. My approach blends evidence-based therapy with a holistic awareness of the mind-body connection, so we’ll dive into thoughts, behaviors, emotions, and how they all interact.

In our time together, we may explore patterns that no longer serve you, process old wounds, and build tools for resilience. I view therapy as a collaborative journey — one that honors the most authentic version of yourself and your capacity to heal from within.

Education

My journey into the field of mental health began with my own curiosity and desire to understand myself more deeply. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia, where I developed a strong foundation in understanding human behavior and emotional processes. After completing my undergraduate studies, I felt called to return to my roots in South Florida and pursue my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University.

I spent three years interning at an nonprofit organization specializing in LBGTQ+ health, where I provided affirming care and support to clients navigating identity and trauma. It was during this time that I developed a meaningful professional relationship with my supervisor, Dr. James Lopresti, who continues to serve as my qualified clinical supervisor and mentor.

Our Approach

  • We’ll look at how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another and build practical tools to help you manage anxiety, shift negative thinking, and feel more balanced.

  • Rooted in mindfulness, DBT helps you learn to hold space for two truths at once — for example, accepting where you are while still working toward change.

  • This approach helps you examine the stories you tell about yourself and your experiences, so you can begin to rewrite them in ways that feel more empowering and true to who you are today.

  • I believe you are the expert on your own life. Together, we’ll create a safe, genuine space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly, without judgment.

  • Rather than staying stuck in problems, we’ll focus on your strengths and achievable steps that move you forward.
